Toots is a 22 year old artist-musician from Manila. At the start of 2020 they decided to pursue and launch a solo project where they could make music they could call their own. This project is personal, being able to express themselves more freely and honestly. Most of Toot’s music revolves around themes of nostalgia, vulnerability, trauma and growing up.
For their single «Strangler» I made both the cover art and an animation loop for Spotify, that reflected the feeling of being watched and feeling suffocated as well that it went with the pop and catchy feeling of the song.
For this was used the concept of running aways and being trapped with eyes and hands trying to grab the main character, but with a constrasting and very colorful palette.
